Not that my head is spinning with all the new shinies InWorldz has been adding lately. But my head is spinning!
Today, InWorldz has launched a new region concept.
In addition to regular regions and scenic regions, InWorldz now offers a third choice: a 2×2 block of 4 regions. (Occasionally, the founders and InWorldz staff seem to be referring to a 2×2 as a quad or a landmass, so don’t be confused if you suddenly hear those two words tossed at you from all directions.)
Because up to 45k prims per region is a fairly generous amount, some region owners have built multiple levels at different altitudes all on one region. The new 2×2 region block supports 48,000 prims, divided evenly into 12k prims per region.
Until today, prim limits have only been enforced on scenic and Plus parcel regions but as of the next update, prim limits will be enforced gridwide, on ALL regions.
So if you want more space on ground level (and even more prims to play with), this is your chance!
If you already have a region, you can convert it to a 2×2, provided you haven’t used more than 12,000 prims on your current region.
If you want to convert your single region to a 2×2, please make sure you follow the procedure to a t. Below are the guidelines on how to convert your region or regions, as posted by Elenia:
For new region purchases, this is now enabled via the world map and is active. There are some things that we’ll be working out in the kinks stage over the next week or so, we will appreciate any feedback as I did quick testing this morning only.
1. You own 1 region and wish to convert into 4:
Send in a support ticket, with the name of the main region and the direction is clockwise for the new regions, estate name of the anchor region. Include names of new regions to be added to the block as “NEW – “.
For example: Nusquam Tamen Serenus (top left). Estate Name is Eles Test. NEW – Nusquam Tamen 2, NEW – Nusquam Tamen 3, NEW – Nusquam Tamen 4.
For this, be sure to send in a payment of $25 via PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. You own more than 1 region but not 4:
Send in a support ticket with the names of the regions and which layout you would like going in a clockwisedirection (consider first region to be the anchor region) and specify directions accordingly. Include names of new regions to be added to the block as “NEW – ” or we will assume it’s already existing. Include the Anchor region Estate Name.
For this, payment is $10 + $5 per any new region needing to be added to email@example.com.
For example: Nusquam Tamen Serenus (top left), Nusquam Tamen 2, NEW – Nusquam Tamen 3, NEW – Nusquam Tamen 4. Estate Name is Eles Test.
3. You own 4 regions to convert:
Send in a support ticket with the names of all 4 regions and which layout you’d like going clockwise (as above in number 2). And name of the anchor region Estate Name.
Payment is $10 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All regions in this conversion will have their due date moved to the fairest point of due date. So if you have a region that is due on June 20, and another that is due July 2, we will move the June 20 to July 2. However, if you have 2 other regions involved that are due on July 18th, all regions will be moved to July 2.
Do note, all regions involved in conversion MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING with InWorldz financially before being converted! Any region that is beyond it’s grace period will automatically be disqualified for conversion.
Also note: there will be no refunds of tiers for converted regions.
All regions involved in conversion MUST be 12k prims or less already, or item loss will happen and InWorldz will not be responsible for any item loss.
All regions involved in conversion MUST NOT violate any protected areas of another owner or you will be responsible for moving all 4 regions at your own expense or risk having all 4 regions taken offline by InWorldz.
There! Happy converting, happy building, happy decorating, and happy InWorldzing!
addendum: Benski Trenkins just posted this video explaining how to convert your existing regular region into a 2×2
